Sting vs. The Undertaker will always be considered the 'one that got away' for millions of wrestling fans. WWE had the chance to promote the match when Sting finally joined the company in 2014, but they went with bouts against Triple H and Seth Rollins instead. The latter would end up being the WCW icon's last in-ring appearance.

Until now, it's been easy to imagine both men craved the match more than any other, but Sting told Al Arabiya English during an interview designed to promote WWE 2K18 that this isn't necessarily the case. In fact, Undertaker seemed less-than-excited when Sting personally told him he had always wanted to wrestle him.

Both guys shared a brief conversation, but 'Taker didn't seem to share Sting's enthusiasm for a match fans had fantasised about since the 1990's. When Sting told his peer that he badly wanted to work together, Undertaker didn't reciprocate those same feelings.
