On the September 5, 2016 edition of Monday Night Raw, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson had a real challenge on their hands. Comedy had been introduced to the tag-team, and they were expected to work with some seriously hammy material. Boiling down to toilet humour and not-so-subtle sexual references, Gallows and Anderson were then written to introduce 'The Old Day'.

A send-up of The New Day, the segment fell flat with the live audience. As several actors struggled to keep a lid on the skit, fans audibly chanted that the promo was boring. Meanwhile, Gallows and Anderson had to pretend they were having the time of their lives.

Speaking with the Daily Mirror to promote WWE's upcoming tour of the UK, Gallows admitted that the segment missed the mark badly. Admirably, the wrestler said that he and Anderson will always do everything they can to take what they're handed by creative and make it work, but that 'The Old Day' was almost impossible to make entertaining.

The length of the segment was also an issue, it went on for far too long. Even The Club thought it sucked.
