10 Wrestling Facts We Didn't Know Last Week (Sept 28)
8. Batista's Untold Fight Story
In his prime, there were few better-muscled dudes on the WWE roster than Batista. Years earlier, around 1995/1996, the 'Animal' wasn't quite as big, and that might be why some scrawny aggressor was happy to clock him round the mug with a wet floor sign.
This story sounds like something from WCW Backstage Assault, not real life.
On Michael Rosenbaum’s Inside Of You podcast, Batista laughed as he recalled getting into a fight with someone who was leering at his then-girlfriend in a Fuddrucker’s restaurant. When the guy refused to stop and even threatened to punch big Dave in the mouth, things turned nasty. Moments later, Batista was reeling from the aforementioned wet floor devastation.
It didn't hurt too much, but he was shaken up that the guy had actually bashed him over the head with a plastic board in a legit fight. From there, both men locked up and tumbled through the salad bar (as you do), then got arrested for smashing up the restaurant.
