10 Wrestling Fan Complaints That Absolutely Suck

1. The Very Fact That Wrestling Fans Tend To Complain

"Nobody hates wrestling as much as wrestling fans."

This take is awful.

WWE fans have been served a product that has defied what they audibly, overwhelmingly wanted for so much of the past - checks notes - two decades. Most every journey to the top is convoluted, resisted, and beset by nonsensical politicking. CM Punk didn't want to wear a suit. Daniel Bryan didn't eat meat. Becky Lynch wasn't Charlotte Flair. The process is so arse-backwards that WWE, weirdly, markets this now as a virtue. In the recent examples of Kofi Kingston and Drew McIntyre, surviving sh*tty gimmicks and directionless creative and toughing it out for the best part of your physical prime is... a good thing (!) that in no way indicts the company as a pitifully ineffective pro wrestling promotion.

So why keep watching? is the usual follow-up question.

Because - personally - I absolutely love Daniel Bryan as a person and a performer and will support him forever. It's not just Bryan. WWE fans ignore mounting, inescapable evidence to support the talent they see more in than the company ever did. WWE doesn't deserve its fans, and the fans are somehow considered the problem by too many. And if that talent does falter, it's difficult to summon a forced feeling.

"God, they liked him when he was hot, and now they've cooled off when he got booked like sh*t. They're so fickle!"
