The Wyatt Compound was greatly significant to Bray Wyatt. It’s supposedly where the character was born and where he chewed over with his dark thoughts in his head after the failure of Husky Harris. It’s his humble beginnings where he first became the wicked cult leader that rabidly watched over the Raw and SmackDown! rosters.

Randy Orton struck up an allegiance with Bray and The Wyatt Family in 2016 and they dominated SmackDown! together. Orton would later win the 2017 Royal Rumble and Bray would win the WWE Championship at Elimination Chamber the following month. Orton initially refused to face Wyatt at WrestleMania 33 but let his true feelings known when Wyatt tried to give Orton "the keys to the kingdom", referencing the powerful Wyatt Family compound. Orton set fire to it, intensely watching it go up in flames. Nobody is more twisted than Orton in WWE.

Bray severely panicked and had a breakdown at the sight of this, showing a kind of weakness/vulnerability never seen in the character before. Many say this was like a death for Bray Wyatt and the overall reason he was reborn as The Fiend.
