It was the slap heard around the world!

OK, maybe that's a bit over-the-top, but wrestling fans everywhere did sit up and take notice when reports surfaced that Jim Cornette smacked Santino Marella in the mouth backstage. That 2005 incident happened in then-WWE developmental territory OVW, and the bad blood has sustained ever since.

Corny and Santino made headlines all over again in 2017 during a joint appearance at a fan convention in Detroit. Marella, who was clearly looking to clear the air and get an apology from Jim, was met with more verbal vitriol from the one-time motormouthed manager. Things blew up again.

Later, Cornette went on another tirade via his podcast: "There’s no law in the books that says that I have to like this guy, and there’s no law that says that he has to like me. If you don’t want the answer, motherf*cker, don’t ask the question!".

They won't be exchanging Christmas cards then.
