2. Chokeslam: Houston Alexander Vs. Thiago Silva
The chokeslam is perhaps most commonly associated with WWE Superstars such as the Big Show and Kane, both of whom used the maneuver to end more than a few matches.
As moves go, it's fairly straightforward and involves grasping an opponent's throat (hence the choke part), hoisting him or her into the air, and then slamming them to the mat.
As one might imagine, it's not particularly easy to pull off in a legitimate combat situation. That being said, former UFC light heavyweight Houston 'The Assassin' Alexander managed to do it.
In 2007, Alexander went one on one with Thiago Santos at UFC 78. During the contest, 'The Assassin' managed to pin Santon against the cage and deliver a Big Show-like chokeslam to the Brazilian.
The slam did manage to get Santos to the mat, but it wasn't enough to secure the victory. Silva would soon recover and win the fight via first-round TKO.
