2. Lance Von Erich

Sgt Slaughter
WWE

One of two Von Erichs to not be made from Adkisson stock, Lance was a failed attempt from family patriarch Fritz to look after his locals whilst popular brothers Kevin and Kerry were wrestling elsewhere.

Stretched thin and under pressure from a surging World Wrestling Federation, the World Class Championship Wrestling head honcho introduced Lance the brother of fellow fraudulent family member Waldo following son Mike developing toxic shock syndrome.

Lance's presence came as such sadness was only just beginning to befall one of wrestling's most celebrated families at the time - the use of a fake Von Erich severed a tie with the audience before the brothers would be fatally separated by the trials, tribulations and tragedies they later encountered.

A feud with the Fabulous Freebirds set the Dallas territory on fire, but Lance was always considered a lame duck contender compared to his storyline brothers by loyal fans of the promotion, and understandably so.
