10 Wrestling Gimmicks Handed Down To Other Wrestlers
8. Legion Of Doom
To kids growing up in the late-'80s and early-'90s, there were few tag-teams more badass than The Road Warriors duo of Hawk and Animal. When the pair joined the WWF and were renamed the Legion Of Doom, their face paints became Halloween chic, their big shoulder spikes more menacing and their theme tune was an absolute banger
When Hawk's real-life personal issues threatened to ruin the team in the late-'90s, Darren Drozdov became an honorary member. This didn't last very long at all, and it'd be barely memorable had it not happened during the Attitude era. If only the same could be said for Animal's next go-around with the gimmick.
He recruited stiff, uncoordinated oaf John Heidenreich in 2005 and revamped the LOD gimmick all over again to the amusement of nobody. Together, the duo won the WWE Tag Titles, updated the traditional black, red and silver spiked look to a white motif and tried to convince people that Heidenreich was a suitable replacement for Hawk.
He wasn't, obviously.
