10 Wrestling Legends' Biggest Crimes Against Fashion
6. Stone Cold Steve Austin
A man on an island in mid-1995, Steve Austin has regularly credited Paul Heyman for bringing a side of him out that would eventually lead him to global dominance as one of WWE's biggest ever stars, but it's possibly for the best that Vince McMahon's top table could use WCW footage to advertise his in-ring skills than his infrequent moments between the ropes in ECW.
Sporting attire entirely dissonant from his cutting edge promos and near-the-knuckle persona, Austin's look was substantially removed from the 'Superstar' he claimed to be. Black and red long tights with an optional vest were not befitting of the man eventually to become 'Stone Cold', and the balding mullet up top didn't help things.
He thankfully abandoned the look just ahead of his WWE debut, trialling his shaved head with 'Ringmaster' boots more in keeping with his Atlanta aesthetic.
