10 Wrestling Matches Better Than The One Thing You Remember Them For

Know for: The match with the not-as-good Cell spots.

Why it's better than that: Time has not been kind to this match, the perception of which among some is relatively unfavourable given that the Cell bumps weren't as crazed or as novel as the two Foley had shocked the wrestling world with a year and a half prior. It also left a bad taste in its immediate aftermath - Foley reneged on the retirement stipulation in what must be record time, even by pro wrestling standards.

The match itself, however, is an equaliser: while not quite as good as their all-time classic at the Rumble, its violence remains chilling, its storytelling impressive. In taking his turn as the aggressor, Triple H was shown to have learned from and improved upon his beleaguered showing at the Rumble, smashing Foley senseless with the clear intent of ending him. He put the Hardcore Legend over incredibly well in defeat, too. The shocked look with which he greets Foley's last-ditch comeback is as memorable as the sight of Foley atop the Cell with his burning barbed wire 2x4 held aloft.

The means with which they escaped the cell - Foley caving its wall in with a mistimed throw of the 'steel' steps - only added to the match's visceral realism.
