10 Wrestling Matches Never Meant To Be This Good

An outstanding brawl that bettered both their phenomenal contest at July's Battleground pay-per-view and a blinding Hell In A Cell opener, The Usos and The New Day took the 20 minutes they were allotted as fans still filed in.

One of 2017's best matches of the year saw Xavier Woods in particular remind everybody just who the f*ck he was as typical team workhorse Kofi Kingston took residence on the outside and got to watch the match in awe along with the rest of the people taking their seats.

An Uso victory on the night ensured that the pairs would have to go again, but the scale and quality of the performance would have worked them into a slot even if the roles had been reversed. Inordinately awesome doubles sequences en route to the finish confirmed an earnest attempt by both teams to try and carve out a new niche for tag team wrestling in the company that almost never has faith in it. Nothing on the main card could touch this - it was a shame Vince McMahon never wanted to.
