Largely ignored now in light of bigger and more memorable moments in the years that followed, Daniel Bryan's 2011-2012 World Heavyweight Title run offered so much more than the Sheamus defeat that defined it and transformed his career in the process.

A very good Elimination Chamber match also featuring Cody Rhodes, The Big Show, The Great Khali and Wade Barrett was elevated into the god tier with a closing stretch that belonged as a singles match on an entirely different pay-per-view.

Santino Marella had only snuck into the match days earlier, but he continued his fairytale journey on the night with eliminations of both Rhodes and Barrett to make believers of an audience that were suddenly desperate to see him dethrone World Champion Bryan in the closing stretch.

Bryan's snarky grin as he realised it was between him and the 'Milan Miracle' played perfectly into the story in much the same way it would in his kicking off of KofiMania several years later, but the challenger's valiant fight only made the Champion nastier. A last-ditch Cobra strike drew an impossibly hot near fall, but Marella was beaten by a snap Yes-Lock for the ultimate heartbreaker.
