John Cena and Batista were set to become the company's next two breakout stars at WrestleMania 21 in 2005. That much was obvious.

What wasn't obvious, though, was which one of the two would be winning that year's Royal Rumble... and it was even less obvious when the pair both flew over the top rope and landed on the floor at the exact same bloody time!

Batista was the planned winner of the contest. However, against all odds both men managed to tumble to the ground in perfect harmony, leaving Vince McMahon with no choice but to storm to the ring in search of a solution.

Then, when the boss finally made it to the squared circle, he hilariously/insanely blew both quads and was forced to sit down as he directed traffic in the chaotic ring.

Both Batista and Cena showcased some high level improvisation skills here, each taking turns to dump the other out of the match before celebrating as if they'd won the whole thing, all while McMahon pondered over where to go from here. Yet, the original plan was rescued in the end when Batista managed to fling Cena out of the ring after McMahon had officially restarted the contest.

It may have been bat sh*t crazy, but it still made for an instantly memorable Rumble moment... whether McMahon liked it or not.
