10 Wrestling Matches That Ended In Unbelievable Locations

6. John Cena Getting Tossed Into A Spotlight By Big Show (Backlash 2009)

This one actually ended in the arena, but it was such a unique location that it needs to be acknowledged just because of how creative a spot it was. John Cena defended the World Title against Edge at Backlash 2009 in a Last Man Standing match. By this point they had so many matches together that we knew a lot of their spots before they happened, but they were always able to have quality matches. There was a big promise for a huge finish this time and they certainly delivered in that regard. With Cena doing his usual thing of overcoming the odds, it looked like he was going to deliver a final Attitude Adjustment while they were on the stage. Instead, Big Show came out from the back and grabbed Cena in a Chokeslam position. Instead of slamming him down, he tossed him into a spotlight that had glass covering it. Cena went through glass (they use a breakable "sugar" glass for stuff like that) and with Cena unable to move, the ref counted him down as Edge was declared the winner of the World Title. http://youtu.be/04a5aNblImA It's one of the more memorable endings in Cena's career as far as his losses go. Give WWE credit for doing something really creative and ending the match in an emphatic way. It wasn't a clean win by Edge by any means, but as a heel it didn't matter that it was cheap.
