10 Wrestling Matches That Inadvertently Became Infamous

A nothing tag team match buried in the middle of a rambunctious and overloaded edition of Monday Night Raw was not a fitting end to Owen Hart's televised life and career as a professional wrestler, but his performance was in keeping with his almost unmatched consistency regardless of what he'd been tasked with.

A bastion of saccharine sanctimony under the guise of The Blue Blazer, Owen adjusted his in-ring style accordingly and flustering sex-crazed personas Val Venis and The Godfather with his array of high flying and technical assaults.

In a match surrounded by several of the Godfather's 'Ho's and Women's Champion Debra, fans chanted 'We Want Puppies' for the bulk of the short encounter which distracted both Jerry Lawler and Jim Ross from remotely attempting to call the smooth action in the ring.

Fans facing the hard camera even shot the contest middle fingers whilst 'The King' asked how Ross could even try and focus on the wrestling moves, before JR parked his commentary to hawk SummerSlam tickets by suggesting 'there'll be plenty of puppies on display there'.

Owen's family, friends and contemporaries universally mourned his tragic death the following Sunday, with many stating how he was simply too good for this world. His outstanding talent certainly deserved far more than the Attitude Era could ever afford him.
