10 Wrestling Matches That Pissed Off Fans

5. The Fiend Vs. Goldberg - Super ShowDown 2020

This was either the funniest or most dispiriting match of all time.

Surely, the Fiend's mask swings the debacle into schadenfreude territory. Because it's a fixed instrument, the smile never goes away. The Fiend looked happy after his lengthy undefeated streak and total domination of WWE television fizzled to sh*t after a Goldberg Jackhammer executed so poorly that, upon pinning the poor c*nt, he looked like a pensioner fumbling with the front door key after a long trip to the shops.

The match itself was just some spears and a mandible claw: the least amount of things Goldberg had to do to just about get away putting the man back in the mix. His specific explosive appeal has aged horrendously, but he had an appeal once, and that's all that matters. The fans in Saudi Arabia popped, but the online response was drastically unfavourable. "Then, now, forever" was WWE's tag line.

"All that for f*cking that?" is far more apropos.

These uncommitted morons, so craven in their mission to make nothing matter at all, ran a "Somehow, the Fiend has returned" post-match angle of sorts. Fiend just stood up, stood there, beaten, then promptly f*cked off. What was he doing? What does the "lore" suggest?

By standing behind Goldberg's back, perhaps this was a coded message, a vow to one day exact his revenge. We're still waiting.

Actually nobody is, so it can't be that.
