5. The Undertaker Vs. Superfly Jimmy Snuka - WrestleMania VII

At WrestleMania VII, the emerging Undertaker character made swift work of Superfly Jimmy Snuka in a short, nondescript midcard match typical of the era. This was the genesis of the Dead Man's incredible Streak of wins on the Grandest Stage.

Obviously, nobody who watched predicted the events to come. That is because Undertaker's career remains and perhaps will forever remain unprecedented; this is a hoss performer who somehow conspired to join the elite workers a decade removed from his physical prime of 1997, in a reflection of his supernatural aura that also enriched it. 'Taker developed the resulting Streak not through meticulous design but the byproduct of consistent, sensible booking, from which WWE profited and had the nous to market as the most illustrious achievement in company history.

Over time, the strength of the WrestleMania brand sold itself. We have a reached a point by which the show sells out, or near enough, before the announcement of the card. The latter years of 'Taker's streak had much to do with it; the spectacle was so awesome, with so much significance, that WWE transitioned into the stadium era with no hesitation.

Everybody fantasy booked the Streak match all year 'round, and yet it was always better than any Reddit thread.
