There are undoubtedly bigger and more important matches on this list, but are there any more surprising than Seth Rollins vs. The Miz?

Both men have been on the WWE main roster for a number of years, yet a singles match between the two is yet to materialise. They were kept apart by the brand split for a short while, but there have been plenty of opportunities for this obvious TV main event to happen.

The Miz and Seth Rollins have been involved in the same match seven times since the Intercontinental Champion made the move to RAW, but never has it been one-on-one. Handicap matches, tag bouts, triple threats and the rest have happened, yet Rollins and Miz remain apart. How?

The Miz was the on-screen catalyst for The Shield reuniting in 2017, and he was also involved in big feuds with both Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns. You’d assume that a singles match with Seth Rollins was an inevitability as a result, but you’d assume incorrectly. The two were even kept apart during this week’s gauntlet match on RAW.

Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
