Jerry Lawler and Scott Steiner's July 2014 matchup for Memphis, Tennessee's Wildfire Wrestling may not have delivered to standards expected of both grapplers in 1994 (or even 2004) in the ring, but the promos and hype for the event more than made up for everything else. Building an insta-feud around Jerry Lawler's love of Superman and Steiner disgracing Superman with the "S" on his tights, Lawler dips back into the CWA and USWA vault for promo gold and Steiner responds accordingly. It's absolutely terrific.
