10 Wrestling Moments So Bad You Almost QUIT
4. Triple H's Reign Of Terror
A lot of things contributed to WrestleMania XIX's absolutely shocking buy-rate of just 560,000 - down 300,000 from the prior year's 'Show of Shows'.
However, along with folks not really being that bothered about Hulk Hogan and Vince McMahon's egos colliding and seeing 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin and The Rock battle it out one more time in a less anticipated third WrestleMania showdown, it was Triple H's 'Reign of Terror' that likely played the biggest part in turning folks off that year's 'Mania.
This was a mind-numbing run that frequently nudged WWE fans to the point of quitting this particular game entirely.
On top of just being handed the World Heavyweight Championship, 'The Cerebral Assassin' cutting increasingly dull promos and conquering all of your faves in largely forgettable fights from 2002-2005 was as painful then as it is to relive today.
But easily the moment that sticks out as the one that really left many on the verge of giving up on this rotten product altogether came when 'The Game' feuded with Booker T in the lead-up to 'Mania XIX.
After throwing out borderline racist comments like "somebody like you doesn't get to be a World Champion" before meeting the one-time WCW man on 'The Grandest Stage', this despicable champ would then end up horrendously winning the day after taking 20 seconds (!) to cover the challenger post-pedigree.
And your reward for not switching off after this hideous program? A few more years of terror...
