For just about every single performer currently plying their trade in the world of pro wrasslin', closing out the biggest show of the year is pretty high up on the list of dreams they would hope to fulfil down the road.

Yet, when it came time to go on last back at the Show of Shows in 2021, Daniel Bryan has actually admitted to a feeling of "detachment" during his WrestleMania 37 Universal Championship showdown with Roman Reigns and Edge.

On top of eventually revealing that he didn't feel like the match itself needed him in the same way his 'Mania XXX three-way with Batista and Randy Orton did, the former WWE Champion would confess to BT Sport:

"When I'm wrestling, I feel everything and feel like I really enjoy it. This was weird, I was out there and it felt like I was detached. It was so strange in fact that before the match started, I got this strange feeling like, 'Is this what it's like before you die? Am I going to die?"

Thankfully, Bryan most definitely did not bite the dust on the back of his strange realisation on the night itself. But it's still interesting to look back on this final 'Mania showing knowing he was very much experiencing an "out of body" moment under the Grandest Stage's bright lights.
