10 Wrestling Moments That Had No Right Being THIS Good

7. Sting's AEW Debut

Roman Reigns Shocked
AEW

Sting debuted in All Elite Wrestling amid a pandemic with approximately 1,000 fans in attendance, zero of which were visible on the hard camera. All were sat at a distance in an open-air venue.

The conditions were not in place for an eruption of a mega pop heralding the arrival of an iconic pro wrestling legend, but the scene was arranged with such perfection that a pandemic wrestling show felt like something truly special and momentous.

Everything about it was perfect. Mikey Rukus nailed the mystique and grandeur of Sting's presence with an epic theme. The production, with its slow tron reveal of the name and the fake snow effect that was married so perfectly to the theme of the show and the ambience of the night. The angle, in which Sting saved the day and told a story with his eyes that led to an endlessly cool, wholesome and productive association with Darby Allin. The appearance of the man himself, preserved as a legend under the paint, removed drastically from the "ex-WCW guy" that WWE butchered.

It was professional wrestling magic cast at its least magical point.
