10 Wrestling Moments That Had No Right Being THIS Good

3. An Actually Good Survivor Series Brawl

The annual Survivor Series brawl is abysmal.

The annual Survivor Series event is abysmal.

But the brawl underscores that which is abysmal about it. What happens is that stars of RAW and SmackDown wear the respective t-shirts of their show and invade the other show. No attempt whatsoever is made to lay these things out with any elegance. There are no staggered phases, no stare-downs that register the old history between acts divided now by brands. Because that doesn't matter; the only thing that matters is brand supremacy.

"Survivor Series just came early!" Michael Cole has probably said, when these things happen.

It was good - even transformative - once; Becky Lynch could have worn a Main Event t-shirt and still have resonated as a megastar ahead of the 2018 edition of the show, and she was on fire to such an extent that fans cared about the brawl because she was the nucleus of it.

Of course, being a modern WWE development, it was iconic by accident rather than by design - but they all count, as they say, whether it's a world class volley from outside of the box or an oafish punch from the undertrained Nia Jax.
