8. Kenny Omega Kicks Out At One

The Revolution masterclass told the story of the complex and textured relationship within - and in the subtext, beyond - the Elite.

Where Nick Jackson and Kenny Omega shook hands and worked a competitive though unrestrained phase, Matt Jackson and Hangman Page had a drag-out fight under a storm of fists and spittle.

Where Hangman Page proved that loyalty mattered far more to him than the Young Bucks believed - he just wasn't loyal to them, as expressed through his adoption of the chicken wing and the One-Winged Angel - Kenny Omega proved where his loyalties lie.

In what would have been an incredible near-fall - the Bucks had found themselves in trademark sync deeper into the match, the unbelievable structure of which enabled the feeling that it was their night - Omega instead kicked out of the Golden Trigger at one. This was built towards so incredibly that no subtext was required to jump head-first into the f*cking ceiling.

In the biggest match of his World Tag Team Title run, he was more pissed at the affront towards his former partner than the man he was teaming with in real-time.

Before you sat back down, you jumped in support of Page the very second after you registered Omega's electric babyface moment.

What a f*cking goddamn match, man.
