10 Wrestling Moments That Literally Made You Jump
6. The Single-Greatest Canadian Destroyer Ever
A spot-fest banger isn't easy to put together.
That's bullsh*t.
Escalating those pops is an art form. The positional skill, stamina, agility and creativity required is immense. It's a sh*tter, when you see the strings, but the rush when you can't is almost inimitable.
In a phenomenal pro wrestling match, the spot-fest became the story on night two of AEW Fyter Fest 2020.
This was excessively exciting and utterly insane by design. It formed part of the FTR Vs. Young Bucks long-term storyline. It almost had to be this unremitting, surging athletic flex because the best moment wasn't some mind-blowing springboard 'rana or propulsive dive to the outside. The best moment saw Dax Harwood almost appalled on the apron by Fénix and Nick Jackson attempting to out-do one another with a posturing rope dance. The subtlety here was outstanding; he reigned in his reaction, so that it almost seemed like he was impressed. He couldn't flip his lid so early into an intricate campaign to shatter the Elite from within.
That's also bullsh*t. The best moment saw Fénix use his brother's back as a platform to crack Nick Jackson's skull against the Butcher's shoulder with a Canadian Destroyer. The Butcher was standing outside of the ring.
The Bucks took the fall in a very astute booking decision - this was a sign that FTR's style was the most successful in this philosophical war - but what a f*cking match with which to illustrate the contrast.
