10 Wrestling Moments You Didn’t Know Were Totally Ripped Off

8. Booker T

We know who inspired Booker T's infamous "Hulk Hogan, we comin' for you..." botch - Hulk Hogan - but Booker T's catchphrase was also influenced by a huge pop culture figure, as disclosed on Steve Austin's podcast last year.

"Can you dig it, sucka?" is derived from Isaac Hayes' throwaway flex in the Theme from Shaft, and not, funnily enough, the baggy, beige Indie stylings of the Mock Turtles.

It's appropriate, for the entertainment machine that is Booker T is in fact a complicated man. Nobody understands him, including his woman. Years later, and f*ck off with GTV, this is the real mystery: what the hell did Jason Jordan to him to warrant such venomous criticism? Did he have bestiality sex with his wife? Why did Booker cast murderous glances at his colleagues for simply questioning the motives of characters in the parameters of a given storyline? Why did he simply grunt, hungrily, for prolonged periods of time, in his guise as commentator?

It's unclear from where Book got "Shucky duck quack quack," but it's safer to infer "the recesses of his fabulously unhinged mind".
