10 Wrestling Moves So Awesome They're Actually Unbelievable

Beautiful insanity from the world’s most dangerous men, featuring Steiner, Foley and…Mero?!

The first bump of a wrestling match is, by its very nature, unbelievable.

Imagine falling on your back once. Then imagine getting up and doing it again. Then imagine repeating that process anywhere between five and five thousand time pending the needs of your match or indeed the training it takes to get you ready to have a match.

That's wrestling, and it's unbelievable.

The pressure placed on the human body by pro wrestling is unlike much else one could willingly endure, but wrestlers do it all the same, then get in cars or packed planes do heap more misery on their aching bones before doing it again the next night. It's unbelievable after even the slightest bit of consideration.

Now imagine the riskiest version of all of that. The scaling of something high only to leap or be thrown off it. The falling, but upside down. The bump on the back, but on the head or neck. The supporting of somebody else's body with your own frazzled frame.

That's wrestling, and it's unbelievable. It's also totally f*cking awesome, which is hopefully a crumb of comfort to these insane practitioners...

10. Split-Legged Moonsault Fallaway Slam

Octagon Jr chose AAA Gira Aniversario XXX to debut a slightly psychotic take on both a fallaway slam and a split-legged moonsault:

Los Vipers' Toxin is the victim, but the pair at very least appear to land relatively safely with a margin for error virtually set to zero.

The gif for its debut is particularly perfect too - a graphic behind the pair shows an explosion of sorts before the devastating drop occurs. It's a little big bang ahead of a massive one shortly afterwards that'll only shine brighter if and when this move gets over as expected.
