10 Wrestling Moves That BLEW YOUR MIND The First Time You Saw Them

4. El Generico's Brainbustaaaaaah!

Prime El Generico was a phenomenally creative professional wrestler, but he was never too giddy nor indulgent about it; he was incredible at the core purpose of the art and perfected the emotion of the form. He was a folk hero and state-of-the-art super-worker in one glorious, masked package.

He was a next-level thinker; one of the most intelligent pro wrestlers ever. The Young Bucks revolutionised the merchandise industry and were inspired to do so by Generico, whose gregarious shilling made him a fortune on the indie circuit.

In an era in which the apron was used as a legal weapon in a since over-used trope, Generico went one better. Surveying every inch of the environment around him, he had the inspired idea to use the turnbuckle not as a platform but a zone of impact, and with his Holy Sh*t special, the Brainbustaaaaaah!, he used it to finish his opponents right on the crown of their heads. It was an awesome, terrifying move.

The near-total lack of protection - on a visual level, of course, since he was a sublime enough worker to protect his opponents - rendered the finish as devastating as it was creative.
