10 Wrestling Music Albums You Need To Hear

4. Randy €œMacho Man€ Savage - Be A Man

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MbF5FAKVup4 Somehow, Randy Savage and hip-hop are the perfect tag team. It€™s nearly unthinkable, but the €œMacho Man€ makes it work -- his raspy voice is perfect for some hard-hitting rap. Savage€™s Be A Man album was released back in 2003, when the €œMacho Man€ was frankly a bit bitter toward some people and wrestling, in general. However, Savage was still a popular figure amongst wrestling fans -- both dedicated and casual. He had even appeared in the previous year€™s Spider-Man movie -- of course, he played a wrestler. There are actually a handful of decent tracks on this album. They€™re all a little out there, however, as they often deal with the world of professional wrestling and Savage€™s feelings toward his former colleagues. The most famous song on the album is easily the title track. It€™s a non-stop diss directed right at Hulk Hogan. Savage claims in the song that he had challenged Hogan to shoot fights at various times, but the Hulkster always denied. Because of this, Savage claimed Hogan was being a chump. Another noteworthy track is €œPerfect Friend€, which was written for and dedicated to Curt Hennig. Better known as Mr. Perfect, Hennig had passed away earlier in 2003. The track features a catchy R&B chorus, thankfully not sung by the Madness, himself.
