7. MSL & Sullivan

The Steve Austin Show

The impact of Kevin Sullivan on the Monday Night War is often downplayed by WWE, who instead prefer to focus on the likes of Eric Bischoff and Vince Russo. However, for the more astute wrestling fan, 'The Taskmaster' and his influence on WCW cannot be understated.

An active competitor for over 25 years, Sullivan spent time in Florida with Dusty Rhodes, Jim Crockett Promotions with the legendary Varsity Club - and even ECW, where he won the Tag Team Titles with a young Taz. After that, Sullivan joined WCW, wherein he feuded with Hogan as part of the Dungeon of Doom and memorably fought Chris Benoit in an angle where life imitated art before settling down behind the scenes as booker.

With so much experience in the wrestling industry, Sullivan's mind is an encyclopedia of all things wrestling, and each show is like a lecture for those wishing to attain a Pro Wrestling PhD. The additional comments and educated interjections by co-host, Mister Saint Laurent, allow the show to flow smoothly from topic to topic, while also providing a catalyst for many of Sullivan's stories.

In addition to the newsworthy items, the show also features weekly reviews of Nitro from 20 years ago, allowing fans an uninhibited glimpse behind the often chaotic curtain of WCW during the height of the Monday Night Wars.
