10 Wrestling PPV Matches Allocated Far Too Little Time

6. Titus O'Neill Vs. Darren Young - WWE Elimination Chamber 2014

Sheamus Daniel Bryan
WWE

Match Length: 06:16

Why it was too short: Just over five minutes is barely sufficient to tell even a basic wrestling story - never mind a tale of two former partners clashing for the first time after a fall-out.

Though they were hardly as talented or popular as, say, the Rockers, their split deserved longer than six measly minutes - The Prime Time Players had been teaming with one another for two years up until this point. The truncated timeframe didn't enable the two to do anything meaningful. In something of a slap to the face of Darren Young, the match was all about Titus, and although Young bumped for him with admirable conviction, the action was mostly uninspired.

Young, as the spurned babyface, should have attacked O'Neill right at the opening bell, selling his heartbreak over the split and manifesting it with intense physicality. Instead, he simply wrestled O'Neill as if there match were an exhibition, in a frustratingly and inexplicably emotionless display. He only had time to sell for his former partner, admittedly, but he should have shown far more fire during the few occasions on which he was on the offensive.

O'Neill's push - if you can call it that - went nowhere, rendering the whole affair entirely pointless.
