10 Wrestling Promos That Were Inadvertently Infamous

4. Truth To Power

Did Neville have one foot out of the door before he thrust his other into the chest of Enzo Amore?

That's impossible to speculate on, but the frazzled version of 2017's 'King Of The Cruiserweights' mirrored outside perceptions of Neville when he finally split from WWE just a few weeks later.

Amore was well cast as the bothersome berk of the lightweight division. Though utterly devoid of in-ring talent compared to his contemporaries, he brought with him a WWE Superstar quality nearly all of them sadly lacked. All except Neville.

'The Man That Gravity Forgot' knew exactly how to get over after spending much of his career outside of the company bubble, and transformed himself from middling babyface to red hot heel during nine sensational months with the 205 Live crown. As a walking talking avatar of Vince McMahon's disdain for the brand, the undeserving Enzo was in need of a beating, but Neville's blind rage told the truth of his plight. On the night he left, he was due to put Amore over again before the storyline became reality. Enough was more than enough.
