Yet another modern catastrophe of a promo that further reinforced WWE as the joke promotion, this, on May 6, 2019, was genuinely one of the dumbest things they ever did.

SmackDown's Roman Reigns, for no reason at all, decided he wanted to show up every single Monday because the fans were the Authority now, remember that? WWE's big mea culpa was acknowledged to be a load of old sh*t mere months afterwards. So Vince McMahon protested, claiming Roman's "defiance" would create anarchy. Who knows what other crazy developments might unfold, right here on Monday Night RAW!

Roman might open the floodgates, Vince said.

"Roman Reigns did open the floodgates, because Daniel Bryan is on SmackDown Live!" Michael Cole said, as Daniel Bryan made his way to the ring on RAW.

You're not meant to think about this. Thinking about this is of no use to you. Thinking about this is more than they did.

But think about this.

If this were real, Daniel Bryan either teleported from the SmackDown tour loop to RAW, or was at RAW all along, in which case why do the stars of the respective shows invade the other show in November? Why did these people care about those respective brands in November, if the Wild Card Rule was in place?

The Wild Card Rule, which Vince claimed was "genius", allowed three members of each brand to appear on the other show.

WWE broke it that very night.

The theme tune to every WWE show is a butt rock cover of the Curb music.
