10 Wrestling Promotions That Did WarGames Better Than WWE

S.C.U.M led a life similar to what The nWo did in WCW.
Comprised, initially, of three once-popular babyfaces - Kevin Steen, Jimmy Jacobs, and Steve Corino - the stable peaked in this first form. The addition of a horde of mid-card goobers in one night soured the credibility of the group and when Steen was ejected, they were toast.
They were toast two months later anyway, as that was the penalty for losing the last, to date, Steel Cage Warfare match to a Steen-led ROH contingent of Michael Elgin, Jay Lethal, and BJ Whitmer.
S.C.U.M's Jimmy Jacobs, Rhino, Rhett Titus, and the dreadful Cliff Compton wrestled the ROH group to a well-worked WarGames-lite match. It wasn't dissimilar to the peak-WCW WarGames matches, as S.C.U.M undermined the babyfaces at every opportunity, using the man advantage for precisely what it was designed for. Kevin Steen's involvement in the contest is what pushes it above the prior two Steel Cage Warfare matches as he'd undergone a sudden transition back into the babyface role, putting his devotion to ROH itself into question.
The finish was a little dumb, with Jacobs saving Steen from Steve Corino setting him ablaze only to receive a Package Piledriver for his troubles, but the match was a lot of fun, serving as a substantial conclusion to the year-long storyline.
