10 Wrestling Rituals You Didn't Know About

3. Because The Nature Boy's Gotta Nature Boy

Anyone with even a passing interest in professional wrestling is likely well aware of the antics and adventures that Ric Flair has gotten up to across his legendary career.

While many hold the Nature Boy on a pedestal as the greatest all-round performer that the wrestling business has ever seen, what would the pre-match ritual of someone like Flair look like? Well, during an appearance on The Steve Austin Show, Naitch was asked how he got himself ready for a big match.

There were only two nuggets of information given out by Flair, and one is definitely more notable than the other.

Firstly, the two-time WWE Hall of Famer said that he'd only ever use Johnson & Johnson tape to make his wrist tapes, and that he would stick to Gillette blades for when a blade was required - which, let's face it, was pretty much 90% of Ric Flair matches.

The more interesting part of Flair's pre-match act, was how Naitch would always make sure to give the referee his cell phone in case any women rang. Presumably, Flair wasn't going to stop mid-match to take any calls, but you never know with Ric Flair.
