9. The Bottle That Didn't Know How To Work

In order to set up a rematch after CM Punk defeated him at WrestleMania XXVIII, Chris Jericho beat Punk up in a theoretically great heat angle.

Sadly, the execution was pathetic.

They should have gone with Jericho's original idea: he pitched tattooing Punk, thus haunting him forever with his enemy's insignia. Instead, riffing on Punk's straight edge persona, Jericho blasted him over the head with a bottle of liquor after pouring the alcohol over his battered body. Two embarrassing botches undermined what was a good compromise: Jericho accidentally impersonated the Shockmaster by slipping on the liquid and falling flat on his fooking arse.

Secondly, the sugar glass imploded well before the intended impact when Jericho retrieved a second bottle. After blasting Punk's father for being an alcoholic, Jericho warned Punk that alcohol goes "straight to your head".

Great line, abysmal prop: in full view of a ringside camera, the shards fell apart in Jericho's hands. The bottle turned to such dust that Jericho was better off getting Punk to snort the remnants to make him break his code.
