He was back, and better than ever. He'd also grabbed some Just For Men on the way to New Jersey.

On the 15 July 2002 edition of Raw, Vince McMahon shocked the world by revealing that old rival Eric Bischoff would become the new General Manager. According to numerous sources, including Booker T, Jim Ross and others, this came as a complete shock to everyone backstage in WWE.

They hadn't been clued in beforehand, and so many were dumbstruck when the former WCW chief strolled out on stage with McMahon, the announcement was made and these former enemies shared a friendly hug before thousands of slack-jawed fans. It was a real 'hell has frozen over' moment, one of the best in Raw history.

When the GM role was vacated by Ric Flair in June, most probably assumed it'd be filled by someone already in the company. It wasn't. Bisch joined, became one of the best authority figures ever and had a successful three year run.
