10 Wrestling Tag Teams That Got The WORST Gimmicks After Splitting

9. The Dudley Boyz

Few were cheering when the company decreed that popular doubles act The Dudley Boyz should split during the very first WWF Draft in 2002. Literally nobody, including Bubba and D-Von, thought this was a good idea, and critics back then pointed out that they'd struggle on their own.

They did.

Bubba Ray became a midcard babyface in the mould of Dusty Rhodes on Raw, and D-Von turned into a religious 'Reverend' who stiffed SmackDown fans out of their hard-earned whilst doing the most tame Brother Love impressions known to man. Neither guy was exactly flying when WWE decided to put them back together less than eight months later.

A hackneyed 'common man' parody and ye olde spiritual con man routine fooled no-one. The Dudleyz were desperately crap without the other kayfabe brother there to back them up. Bubba wouldn't set that right until his stellar Bully Ray run in TNA.
