10 Wrestling Tag Teams That Got The WORST Gimmicks After Splitting

10. The Smoking Gunns

Two rugged cowboys with marvellous porn moustaches was a ropey enough gimmick for some, but then the WWF split The Smoking Gunns and didn't have an earthly clue what to do with either man. So, in typical fashion for the time, they just sorta' winged it.

Billy became Honky Tonk Man's protege, was renamed 'Rockabilly' and sucked hard until aligning with Road Dogg as the New Age Outlaws. Poor Bart, meanwhile, was forced to become the most generic wrestler of his time before the infamous 'Brawl For All' came along and turned him into the most generic shoot fighter of all time.

Both characters could've spelled the end for the former lasso-loving boys, but Billy finally found his calling by playing 'Bad Ass'. His partner didn't have the same sort of luck. Bart was just plain bad, and the WWF made an ass of him by sacrificing him to legit boxer Butterbean at WrestleMania XV.

Boo.
