10 Wrestling Tag Teams That Should Never Have Split

9. Owen Hart & The British Bulldog

Neither Owen Hart or The British Bulldog found success for any sustained period of time in the main event scene of the WWF during the 1990's; Bulldog in particular flirted with the WWF Title mix, but he was often a secondary figure in the challenger slot than a full on headliner.

Before being teamed with Bulldog, the resourceful Owen did work with partners like Jim Neidhart, Koko B. Ware, Bret Hart (briefly) and Yokozuna. None of these tandems worked out, and that only made his alliance with Davey Boy Smith look even better.

Together, the Hart family members shone throughout 1996 and into 1997. It was confusing then that even when both worked under The Hart Foundation banner as heels, the duo randomly stopped teaming together in '97 and went their separate ways.

Gelling expertly as a tag-team, Owen and Davey should have been together for years instead of re-launching their respective singles careers. The WWF could have even kept them as occasional partners, but seemed intent on moving away from a formula that had handed Owen his first truly successful tag-team run.
