10 Wrestling 'Truths' We’ll Never Get An Answer To

10. Would Vince McMahon Have Stayed Off TV?

The 11 June 2007 episode of Raw ended with a fiery inferno that teased the demise of Vince McMahon's on screen character. Some WWE insiders suggested that McMahon boldly said, "Well, I can't be on TV if I'm dead", and those same folks explained that Vince was tired of pulling double duty in front of and behind the camera anyway.

The fallout from the Chris Benoit tragedy forced WWE to abandon the angle, but would McMahon have resisted the urge to return? Probably not. It would've been so sports entertainment had the company booked an out for his on air "death". Even so, it is fascinating to think that Vince, after a decade of playing authority, was sick of performing.

The likely outcome is that McMahon would've been gone for six months or so before showing back up as though nothing had happened. That, much like scripting an excuse, would've been classic WWE. It's hard to imagine he'd never show up again.

No-one will ever know.
