Oh Shawn, you could have slapped away any other sign in front of you. You could have slapped away a pro-Bret sign, or even one supporting you! You're a heel; you can do pretty much anything to rile up the crowd. But one thing you can't do is slap away an 'RIP Brian Pillman' sign, especially less than two months from his tragic death. In fairness, there's no chance Michaels did this on purpose; he was confronted by a baying crowd, and certainly wouldn't have had time to read the sign before swatting it with a backhand. However, it still makes for incredibly uncomfortable viewing.
