6. Seth Rollins
'The Architect' may yet be laying the foundations for one of the biggest years of his career if rumours of a WrestleMania match against Brock Lesnar are to be believed, but the damage done to both he and Dean Ambrose by their woeful Tables, Ladders & Chairs clash can't be underestimated.
Perception had become reality for 'Monday Night Rollins', and one needed only to skim to the comments section on any article criticising his work to see evidence of his growing support. Seth had a very good (and occasionally great) year in 2018, but deserved praise more for his workrate than actual work - his matches were advertisements for his blood and sweat, but often struggled to generate tears - nor any emotion - between the moves.
Rollins' Royal Rumble will be crucial in shaping the chances of him finally getting something big to do at WrestleMania again. His decidely midcard matches in recent years have reflected his decidedly midcard booking, but a headliners display in the battle royal itself (especially if he wins and especially if Brock retains the Universal Championship) could make his 2019 more about maximising his minutes than simply clocking them up.
