10 WWE Attitude Era Moments You Totally Don't Remember

5. The OTHER Mankind Hell In A Cell Bump

You'll remember Mankind's wild bump from the top of the Hell In A Cell structure in 1998.

It was an iconic, indelible incident, something that contrived to frame the WWF as an even wilder, more bloodthirsty beast on pay-per-view. The most crazed stunts were reserved for Sunday nights; that's why Mick Foley's demented stunt was only repeated at No Way Out and Armageddon 2000.

Except it actually happened again on an episode of RAW in August 1998 because the promotion was hellbent on concussing everybody on the f*ckin' roster.

This time, Mankind worked Kane, but the Undertaker interfered, and as Mankind scaled the structure, he was smashed through the commentary table when he was about halfway up. The distance wasn't as crazed, but the splat was equally disgusting. The back of Foley's head collided with concrete almost instantly; this was a sort of sequel to his vile Nestea plunge spot against Mil Mascaras at Clash of the Champions X.

The ensuing match basically just saw Kane and Mankind give each other brain damage with disgusting unprotected chair shots to the head, one of which likely contributed to Mayor Glenn Jacobs tweeting sh*t like "Cancel culture is a significant threat to our freedoms, which is why Vince is on the f*cking telly every week".
