10 WWE Booking Steps To Daniel Bryan vs Dolph Ziggler At SummerSlam

8. B+ Players On A B+ Show

The following week, Ziggler comes out on Smackdown and explains his actions. Smackdown is the show that both he and Bryan have been a massive part of since the start of 2015, and the time available on the Thursday night show should be used to elevate the smaller titles and less-pushed guys on the roster..
'For the past few years, I've noticed a trend sweeping through the WWE Universe. Whether it's 'Fandango-ing', or 'Feed Me More', or singing 'Lucha! Lucha!', or waving your phones in the air like fireflies whenever Bray Wyatt shows up, or even throwing both hands in the air and shouting 'YES! YES! YES!'... It's that you're all a bunch of sad, pathetic little people who just want a moment or a memory to take a picture of and stick it on Twitter or Instagram...You people don't care about hard work, you people don't care about talent, you people don't care about the truth! You only care about the things that look good on T-shirts and in cover pictures and that just don't sit right with the Show Off. The fact is I come out here every week and bust my ass and all I get is ten minutes to show the world what I am capable of before I have to then make way for a bearded little freak who people love because he's 'the underdog' and 'a good worker' and 'talented'...Well guess what?! I am all of those things, and more! I attacked Daniel Bryan not so that I could hurt him or his championship reign, although that was a bonus, I attacked him to prove that I am BETTER than he is.
Ziggler has portrayed the same brash, arrogant character for years and years, but it works so much better when he's a heel than a babyface. He needs to turn quickly in order to retain some relevance, so that he doesn't stagnate later in his career.
