While Sheamus has enjoyed much Championship success in WWE, having held other titles such as the United States Title and the Tag Team Titles alongside Cesaro, Sheamus admitted in an interview with The UK Sun that after winning WWE's top prize at Survivor Series 2015, his time as Champion when he was feuding with Roman Reigns was not all that he hoped it would be.
"Do I feel like I could have gone a lot longer with this? Absolutely, I kind of felt like my legs were cut from underneath me,” Sheamus told the paper.
“To be honest. I felt like I was really starting to get some steam, to get some momentum. But ultimately my job was to get Roman back to where he needed to be with the fans behind him and as a heel I was able to do that. Which was for me I guess a special moment."
