10 WWE Decisions That Enraged The IWC

6. Christian’s Two-Day Title Reign

While Christian will likely be inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame someday, his World Title record is absolutely dismal. Debuting in 1998, it took until 2011 before he finally won the big one, and when he defeated Alberto Del Rio at Extreme Rules, it felt like a well overdue pat on the back for a multi-talented worker.

The reign wasn’t to last, however. Christian dropped the belt to Randy Orton just two days later, and the outcry was severe. Christian’s run had ended before it had truly started, and the anger came not only because ‘Captain Charisma’ had been dethroned, but because fans were utterly sick of seeing the same two guys on top (Orton and John Cena). Christian represented something new, fresh, and original.

Christian eventually reclaimed the gold two months later, but his second run was nothing to write home about either, and Orton took the World Heavyweight Championship back by summer's end. In total, Christian held the belt for just 30 days, marking him as one of the least effective top champions in WWE history.

He left the title picture weaker than when he’d entered, and his booking remains as disappointing today as it was back then.
