Ah yes, the WWE Diva Search winners. Its fair to call the Diva Search contest a mixed bag. It clogged up our televisions pointless reality TV segments, giving screen time to some seriously untalented women. On the other hand, it also gave us some of the biggest divas of the past decade: Eve Torres, Maria, Michelle McCool, Maryse, Layla and the Bella Twins. Sadly, the first Diva Search winner was not one of those standout women. Christy Hemme gave it a go for a little over a year in WWE, but her big moment in the sun a Womens Championship title shot at WrestleMania XXI against Trish Stratus was billed as an inexperienced Hemme basically standing in for her injured trainer Lita. Hemme never really stood much of a chance. Hemme would be gone from WWE before the end of 2005. She joined TNA a few months later, where she remains as the companys ring announcer.
