10. Michael Luisi, President Of WWE Studios
WWE Studios was supposed to be a huge revenue stream for the WWE. by branching off into the film industry, Vince was hoping to create some competition for other film producers and distributors, as well as expand WWEs portfolio, making it more of an interesting company for stakeholders to invest in. Alas, WWE Studios has had a mixed record at best regarding the success of their films. So, in 2011, Michael Luisi was promoted to President of WWE Studios. In that role, he oversees the operations of this branch of the company, and also develops their worldwide strategy. Having spent 12 years working for Miramax Films, he was supposed to help the fledging film branch of the WWE improve in its film quality, especially after the questionable success of such releases as '12 Rounds', 'The Marine 2' and 'Knucklehead'. However, despite his obvious experience in the film industry, he wasnt able to help WWE Studios in making a truly memorable film. While some of WWE Studios most recent films have done well at the box office, such as The Call and Oculus, most of them have still been money pits. The Chaperone and Thats What I Am are among the most notorious examples, with both films making less than $US 20,000 at the box office. Vince must certainly be angry at Mr. Luisi for not being able to bring more money into WWE Studios, as well as taking limited resources away from the rest of WWE to fund these projects.
